Feb 2: God Loved Adam and Eve
Bible Passage: Genesis 2-3
Bottom Line: God Loved First
Leader Context: God’s loved us first, and His love is best, bigger than anything, and goes on forever. (Read Genesis 3:22-23.) In His love, God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden so they would not eat from the tree of life and live forever in their broken state. It was part of the consequence of their sin, but it was also the most loving thing He could do for them. God made a way for them to be reconciled through Jesus. This week, we are teaching kids that, even though there is punishment for their sin, God shows incredible love. We get to teach kids that we can never earn or deserve love because God loved us first.
