Faith works. It always works. That's because we don't have a blind faith or simple good wishes. We have faith in Jesus. He is our focus. He is our hope. He is our confidence. We learned these truths today through the story of Bartimaeus, a blind man who cried out to Jesus. Others tried to quiet him. He shouted out even louder. Jesus heard him, called for him, and then asked him a life-changing question: "What do you want?" The man gave Jesus a hope-filled, faith-filled answer. He said, "I want to see." He boldly asked Jesus to do what only Jesus could do. What did Jesus do? He healed him. The blind man could now see and he followed Jesus!
Now, is the time for you and me to cry out to Jesus like a blind beggar. Now is the time for you and me to trust Jesus with our biggest and smallest concerns. If Jesus asked you, "What do you want?" How would you answer Him?

- What do I want? Safe, excellent schools where kids learn academics, skill and develop character. So, I am praying for our schools, administrators, teachers and students and encouraging others to do the same. To learn more about coming prayer huddles, visit Lisa Crable's Facebook page
- What do I want? Communities led by servant leaders and leaders who serve. I am praying for those who are in authority over me - leaders and law enforcement. I pray for wise leaders who do what is best and do it in the best way. This isn’t a political issue. It’s Biblical. Pray for them on all occasions.
- What do I want? A society where justice for all is valued by all and no man, woman or child is limited in their pursuit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Where we are threatened or undervalued, we must pray for those who mistreat us. We love our enemies by praying for them. We change our world by praying for them.
- What do I want? Passionate believers living with Biblical conviction and spirit-led action. That's why I am praying for the changes that I want to see in the world. I am also praying that before believers use their voice on social media or on the streets, that they would talk to the God who is in control.
Your faith isn't a one-time expression. It is a life-long relationship with Jesus. Live it!
